Asking for Names

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Muhammad b. Munkadir asking Wahb b. Jarir his name.

Wahb b. Jarir reported: Shu'ba informed that Muhammad b. Munkadir said to me: What is your name? The rest of the hadith is the same.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ مَا اسْمُكَ فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ
