Making Up For Uncertainty During Salah

SUMMARY: When performing salah, if one is unsure about how many rak'ahs they have prayed, they should perform two sajdah while sitting to make up for the uncertainty.

This hadith is narrated on the authority of Qatada with the same chain of transmitters.
وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ - حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ مِيرَاثٌ لأَهْلِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ أَوْ قَالَ ‏"‏ جَائِزَةٌ
