This hadith tells us about a situation in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) visited Jabir b. 'Abdullah (RA). When they arrived, they found that he was unconscious, so they called for water and performed ablution with it before sprinkling it on him to make him feel better. After this incident, Allah revealed a verse regarding inheritance among children in Islam; according to this verse, males are given twice as much as females when it comes to inheritance rights. This hadith teaches us that we should be generous with our wealth by giving our children their due share when we pass away; however, males should receive double what females do in terms of inheritance rights according to Islamic teachings.
