Buying and Selling with Pledges

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger (PBUH) bought grain from a Jew and gave him an iron coat-of-mail as a pledge.

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger bought from a Jew grain for a specified time; and gave him iron coat-of-mail of his as a pledge.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ، زِيَادٍ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ ذَكَرْنَا الرَّهْنَ فِي السَّلَمِ عِنْدَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اشْتَرَى مِنْ يَهُودِيٍّ طَعَامًا إِلَى أَجَلٍ وَرَهَنَهُ دِرْعًا لَهُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ
