Sahih al-Bukhari 1154 (Book 19, Hadith 35) #1114
The Power of Nighttime Prayer

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that if someone wakes up in the night and recites a certain prayer, Allah will forgive them and accept their prayers.

Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: The Prophet "Whoever gets up at night and says: -- 'La ilaha il-lallah Wahdahu la Sharika lahu Lahu-lmulk, waLahu-l-hamd wahuwa 'ala kullishai'in Qadir. Al hamdu lil-lahi wa subhanal-lahi wa la-ilaha il-lal-lah wa-l-lahu akbar wa la hawla Wala Quwata il-la-bil-lah'. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. He is the Only One and has no partners . For Him is the Kingdom and all the praises are due for Him. He is Omnipotent. All the praises are for Allah. All the glories are for Allah. And none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, And Allah is Great And there is neither Might nor Power Except with Allah). And then says: -- Allahumma, Ighfir li (O Allah! Forgive me). Or invokes (Allah), he will be responded to and if he performs ablution (and prays), his prayer will be accepted".

QUICK LESSONS:
Wake up at night and recite a certain prayer which includes praising & glorifying god .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the power of nighttime prayer. It was narrated by 'Ubada bin As-Samit who heard it from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. According to this hadith, if someone wakes up in the night and recites a certain prayer which includes praising and glorifying God, then God will forgive them for their sins and accept their prayers. This is an important reminder for all Muslims that we should take advantage of nighttime as it is a special time when our prayers are more likely to be accepted by God. We should also remember that we can ask for forgiveness from God at any time during our day or night, but especially during nighttime when our prayers are more likely to be answered.
