The Price of Immorality

SUMMARY: Earning money through immoral activities is wrong.

Rafi b. Khadij reported Allah'& Messenger as saying: The price of a dog is evil, the earning of a prostitute is evil and the earning of a Cupper is evil.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ قَارِظٍ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ ‏ "‏ ثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ خَبِيثٌ وَمَهْرُ الْبَغِيِّ خَبِيثٌ وَكَسْبُ الْحَجَّامِ خَبِيثٌ

We should strive to make an honest living by working hard and being honest with our dealings with others so that we can reap the rewards both in this life and the hereafter.
