Sahih al-Bukhari 1148 (Book 19, Hadith 29) #1108
Reciting the Quran in Night Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite the Quran while standing in the night prayer, except when he became old and would then recite while sitting.

Narrated 'Aisha: I did not see the Prophet reciting (the Qur'an) in the night prayer while sitting except when he became old; when he used to recite while sitting, and when thirty or forty verses remained from the Sura, he would get up and recite them and then bow.

QUICK LESSONS:
Consistent with our worship of Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aisha tells us that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to recite the Quran during his night prayer while standing, except when he became old. In this case, he would sit down and recite until there were only thirty or forty verses left from a surah. He would then stand up and finish reciting them before bowing down for ruku'. This hadith teaches us that we should be consistent with our worship of Allah SWT and strive to perform it as best as we can even if our physical abilities are limited due to age or any other factor. We should also remember that no matter how small an act of worship may seem, it is still important and has great value in the eyes of Allah SWT.
