Night Prayer of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the night prayer of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) which was seven, nine or eleven rak'at.

Narrated Masruq: I asked Aisha about the night prayer of Allah's Messenger and she said, "It was seven, nine or eleven rak'at besides the two rak'at of the Fajr prayer (ie Sunna)".
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ عَنْ صَلاَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ بِاللَّيْلِ‏.‏ فَقَالَتْ سَبْعٌ وَتِسْعٌ وَإِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ سِوَى رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Masruq and it talks about the night prayer of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. According to Aisha, the night prayer was seven, nine or eleven rak'ats in addition to two rak'ats of Fajr prayer which is known as Sunna. This hadith teaches us that we should pray regularly and follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in order to gain rewards from Allah SWT. It also encourages us to perform extra prayers at night as it brings us closer to Allah SWT and helps us stay away from sins and bad deeds.
