Forbidden Transactions

SUMMARY: Allah's Messenger forbade two types of transactions.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger forbade (two types of transactions) Mulamasa and Munabadha
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ، حَبَّانَ عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُلاَمَسَةِ وَالْمُنَابَذَةِ

This hadith is about two types of transactions that are forbidden in Islam. The narrator of this hadith is Abu Huraira who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad and reported that the Prophet forbade two types of transactions known as Mulamasa and Munabadha. These are both forms of trading which involve deception or fraud and are therefore prohibited in Islam. Muslims should not engage in any form of transaction which involves deception or fraud as it goes against the teachings and values found in Islam. Furthermore, Muslims should strive to be honest and truthful when engaging in any form of transaction so as to uphold the values found within Islamic teachings.
