Sahih Muslim 1493f (Book 19, Hadith 9) #10884
Separating Those Who Invoke Curses

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) separating two members of Banu al-'Ajlan who were invoking curses on each other.

Sa'id b. Jubair reported that Mus'ab b. Zubair did not effect separation between the Mutala'inain (invokers of curses). Sa'id said: It was mentioned to 'Abdullah b. Umar (Allah be pleased with them) and he said: Allah's Apostle effected separation between the two members of Banu al-'Ajlan.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) separating two members of Banu al-'Ajlan who were invoking curses on each other. It was reported by Sa’id b. Jubair that Mus’ab b. Zubair did not separate them, but when it was mentioned to ‘Abdullah b. Umar, he said that Allah’s Apostle did separate them in order to prevent further conflict between them and maintain peace in society. This hadith teaches us the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully and avoiding violence or verbal abuse as much as possible, even if it means having to intervene in a situation between two people or groups of people who are arguing with each other or cursing one another out loud in public places like markets or streets etc., so that peace can be maintained and no one gets hurt physically or emotionally due to such conflicts which can lead to more serious consequences if left unresolved for too long without any intervention from an impartial third party like a mediator, judge, etc.. It also teaches us the importance of respecting others regardless of their differences with us and not resorting to verbal abuse when we disagree with someone else's opinion or point-of-view on something important because this could lead to further animosity between both parties involved which could eventually escalate into physical violence if left unchecked for too long without any intervention from an impartial third party like a mediator, judge, etc..
