No Lodging and Maintenance Allowance for Irrevocable Divorcees

SUMMARY: A woman who has been given an irrevocable divorce is not entitled to lodging and maintenance allowance.

Fatima bint Qais (Allah be pleased with her) reported from Allah's Messenger that there is no lodging and maintenance allowance for a woman who has been given irrevocable divorce.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ فِي الْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلاَثًا قَالَ ‏ "‏ لَيْسَ لَهَا سُكْنَى وَلاَ نَفَقَةٌ
