Sahih Muslim 1453d (Book 17, Hadith 36) #10740
Fostering Young Boys

SUMMARY: A woman was advised to foster a young boy so that he can come to her freely.

Umm Salama said to 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her): A young boy who is at the threshold of puberty comes to you. I, however, do not like that he should come to me, whereupon 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: Don't you see in Allah's Messenger a model for you? She also said: The wife of Abu Hudhaifa said: Messenger of Allah, Salim comes to me and now he is a (grown-up) person, and there is something that (rankles) in the mind of Abu Hudhaifa about him, whereupon Allah's Messenger said: Suckle him (so that he may become your foster-child), and thus he may be able to come to you (freely).

QUICK LESSONS:
Take care of those in need , Provide love & support regardless age & background , Follow example set by prophet muhammad(ﷺ)
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of fostering young boys. It is narrated by Umm Salama and the wife of Abu Hudhaifa, who both asked for advice from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ on how to handle a situation with a young boy. The Prophet ﷺ suggested that they should foster him, which means that they should give him milk from their breasts so he can become their foster child. This would allow them to interact with him freely without any worries or concerns. By doing this, it teaches us the importance of taking care of those in need and providing them with love and support regardless of their age or background. It also shows us how important it is for us to follow the example set by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in our daily lives as Muslims.
