Sahih al-Bukhari 1112 (Book 18, Hadith 32) #1072
Delaying Prayers During Travel

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) would delay the Zuhr prayers and offer them together with the 'Asr prayer if he started a journey before noon, and offer the Zuhr prayers before riding for a journey if he started after noon.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Whenever the Prophet started on a journey before noon, he used to delay the Zuhr prayers till the time for the 'Asr prayer and then he would dismount and offer them together; and whenever the sun declined before he started on a journey he used to offer the Zuhr prayers and then ride (for journey).

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform religious obligations while travelling .

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik explains that when travelling, it is permissible to delay the Zuhr prayer and combine it with the 'Asr prayer if one starts their journey before noon. If one begins their journey after noon, they should perform the Zuhr prayer first before continuing on their way. This shows us that even during travel, Muslims should not neglect their religious obligations and must strive to fulfill them as best as possible. It also teaches us that we should be mindful of our time management so that we can make sure to complete all our tasks in an efficient manner.
