The Prohibition of Coitus Interruptus

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the prohibition of 'azl (coitus interruptus) and that the birth of a child is something ordained by Allah.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Apostle was asked about 'azl, whereupon he said: There is no harm if you do not do that, for it (the birth of the child) is something ordained. Muhammad (one of the narrators) said: (The words) La 'alaykum (there is no harm) implies its Prohibition.

QUICK LESSONS:
Accept what has been predetermined by God

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith was narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and it speaks about the practice of 'azl or coitus interruptus. It states that this practice is prohibited and that the birth of a child is something ordained by Allah. This means that it has been predetermined by Allah for each person to have a certain number of children in their lifetime. Therefore, it should not be interfered with through any means such as coitus interruptus. The hadith also teaches us to accept what has been predetermined for us and to trust in Allah's plan for our lives.
