The Prophet's Duha Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet (pbuh) offered the Duha prayer on the day of the conquest of Mecca and performed perfect prostration and bowing.

Narrated Ibn Abu Laila: Only Um Hani told us that she had seen the Prophet (pbuh) offering the Duha (forenoon prayer). She said, "On the day of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet took a bath in my house and offered eight rak'at. I never saw him praying such a light prayer but he performed perfect prostration and bowing.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray with humility and devotion .

EXPLANATIONS:
On the day of the conquest of Mecca, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ took a bath in Um Hani's house and offered eight rak'at in prayer. This is known as 'Duha' prayer which is a light prayer that includes perfect prostration and bowing. It is important to note that this was done by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself as an example for us to follow. He showed us how to pray with humility and devotion even when we are feeling tired or overwhelmed by life's events. We should strive to emulate his example in our own lives so that we can be closer to Allah SWT.
