Celebrate marriages according to Islamic teachings

This hadith is about the importance of celebrating marriage and how it should be done even if one has limited resources. The Prophet Muhammad saw the trace of yellowness on 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf and asked him what it was. He replied that he had married a woman for a date-stone's weight of gold. The Prophet then blessed him and encouraged him to hold a wedding feast, even if only with a sheep. This hadith teaches us that we should not let our financial situation stop us from celebrating our marriages in an appropriate manner as prescribed by Islam. We should also remember to be thankful for whatever resources we have available to us and use them in the best way possible according to Islamic teachings.
