Sahih Muslim 1412b (Book 16, Hadith 58) #10593
Respect Your Brother's Transactions and Proposals

SUMMARY: A person should not enter into a transaction or make a marriage proposal if his brother has already done so, unless he permits it.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle as having said this: A person should not enter into a transaction when his brother (had already entered into but not finalized), and he should not make proposal of marriage upon the proposal already made by his brother, until he permits it.

QUICK LESSONS:
Ask for permission before entering into a transaction or making a marriage proposal when your brother has already done so
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us the importance of respecting our brothers and their decisions. It is important to not interfere in any transactions or proposals that our brother has already made, unless they give us permission to do so. We must show respect for our brothers and their decisions, even if we disagree with them. This hadith also teaches us the importance of communication between siblings; it is important to talk to each other about any transactions or proposals that have been made before entering into them ourselves. By doing this, we can ensure that everyone involved is on the same page and no one’s feelings are hurt in the process.
