This hadith speaks to the importance and superiority of praying in the mosque of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. It was narrated by Ibn Abbas and Maimuna, wife of Allah's Apostle that a woman fell ill and promised to go pray at Bait al-Maqdis if she recovered. When she did recover, Maimuna advised her to stay put and pray at the mosque of Allah's Messenger instead because it was better than a thousand prayers observed elsewhere except for Ka'ba.
