EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of shortening the 'Asr prayer when he was in Dhul-Hulaifa. It is narrated by Anas bin Malik, who was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad and one of his closest friends. According to this hadith, he offered four rak'at for Zuhr prayer at Medina and two rak'at at Dhul-Hulaifa. This shows that it is permissible to shorten prayers in certain circumstances, such as when travelling or if one is ill or weak. It also teaches us that we should follow the example set by our beloved Prophet Muhammad and strive to emulate his practices in our own lives.
