Sahih Muslim 1333k (Book 15, Hadith 454) #10389
The Door of Hijr

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) explaining why the door of Hijr was made on a higher level and one cannot enter it without a ladder.

'A'isha reported: I asked Allah's Messenger about Hijr, and the rest of the hadith is the same. I also said: Why is it that the door has been made on a higher level, and one cannot (get into it) but with the help of a ladder? The rest of the hadith is the same as reported above and the concluding words are: (I do not change it) out of the apprehension that their hearts may disapprove of it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect other people's privacy and do not intrude into their lives or homes without permission .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's explanation for why the door of Hijr was made on a higher level and one cannot enter it without a ladder. He said that this was done to prevent people from entering it without permission, as they would need to use a ladder in order to do so. This teaches us that we should respect other people's privacy and not intrude into their lives or homes without permission. We should also be mindful of our own safety when entering unfamiliar places, as we may not know what kind of obstacles are in our way. Additionally, this hadith reminds us that even though something may seem strange or unusual at first glance, there could be an important reason behind it which we may not understand until further investigation has been done.
