Sahih Muslim 1333d (Book 15, Hadith 447) #10382
Spending Treasure for Allah's Cause

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would have spent the treasure of the Ka'ba in the way of Allah and would have made its door level with the ground if his people had not been recent converts to Islam.

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her), wife of Allah's Apostle , heard Allah's Messenger as saying: If your people, had not been recent converts to Islam, I would have spent the treasure of the Ka'ba in the way of Allah and would have constructed its door just on the level of the ground and would have encompassed in it the space of Hijr.

QUICK LESSONS:
Spend money for a good cause; Make sure everyone has access religious sites; Help those who are less fortunate than you; Be generous with your wealth and possessions; Give away charity when possible .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about how much importance Prophet Muhammad placed on spending money for Allah’s cause. He was willing to spend all of the treasure from Ka’aba, which is a holy site in Mecca, if his people were not recently converted to Islam. He also wanted to make sure that everyone could enter it easily by making its door level with the ground. This shows us that we should always be willing to give up our wealth and possessions for a good cause and help those who are less fortunate than us. We should also strive to make sure that everyone has access to religious sites so they can benefit from them too.
