Praying in the Ka'ba

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) entering the Ka'ba and praying there with Bilal and Usama.

Abdullah b. Umar reported that he reached the Ka'ba and Allah's Apostle had entered therein, and Bilal and Usama too'.Uthman b. Talha closed the door to them, and they stayed there for a considerable time, and then the door was opened and Allah's Apostle came out, and I went upstairs and entered the House and said: Where did Allah's Apostle observe prayer? They said: At this very place. I, however, forgot to ask them about the (number of) rak'ahs that he observed.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's visit to the Ka'ba, a holy site in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He was accompanied by his companions, Bilal and Usama, when he entered into it. 'Uthman b. Talha closed the door behind them as they stayed inside for a while before coming out again. Abdullah b. Umar asked where exactly did Allah's Apostle observe prayer? He was told that it was at this very place but he forgot to ask how many rak’ahs were observed during prayer time. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful of our prayers and take care to perform them properly according to Islamic teachings as well as respect holy places like the Ka’bah which are important symbols of Islam for Muslims all over the world. It also shows us how important it is to have companionship when performing religious activities such as prayer or visiting holy sites like this one so that we can benefit from each other’s presence spiritually and emotionally too!
