Sahih al-Bukhari 1075 (Book 17, Hadith 9) #1036
Prostration During Recitation of the Quran

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) would prostrate when reciting a Sura that contained prostration and his companions would follow suit.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: When the Prophet recited a Sura that contained the prostration he would prostrate and we would do the same and some of us (because of the heavy rush) could not find a place for prostration.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prostrating during recitation of the Quran. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ recited a Sura that contained prostration he would prostrate and his companions would do the same. Some people were unable to find a place for prostration due to overcrowding. This hadith teaches us about how important it is to show respect and reverence for Allah's words by performing sujud when we recite them. It also shows us how devoted Muslims are in following their Prophet's example even if it means sacrificing comfort or convenience in order to do so.
