QUICK LESSONS:
Offer sacrifices out of devotion and obedience to God
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of sacrifice in Islam. It is narrated by Ibn Abbas that Allah's messenger sent eighteen sacrificial camels with a person, showing the significance of this act. Sacrifice is an important part of Islamic practice and it is seen as an act of devotion and obedience to God. It also serves as a reminder for Muslims to be thankful for all that they have been given and to share their blessings with others. The Prophet Muhammad was known for his generosity, so sending these camels was likely meant as an example for others to follow in his footsteps. By sacrificing these animals, he showed that even something as valuable as camels can be given away in service of God and His teachings.
