The Prophet's Ihram

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) being asked why he has not taken off his Ihram.

Hafsa (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I said: Messenger of Allah what is the matter with you that you have not put off Ihram? The rest of the hadith is the same.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، - رضى الله عنهم - قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تَحِلَّ بِنَحْوِهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of following the rules and regulations set by Allah. In this particular case, it was regarding the ritual of Ihram which is a part of Hajj and Umrah. It shows us that even though Prophet Muhammad was a messenger of Allah, he still followed all the rules and regulations set by Him. He did not take any shortcuts or exceptions for himself as an example to us that we should also follow all His commands without any hesitation or doubt. This hadith also teaches us to respect our elders and ask them politely when we have questions or doubts regarding something instead of questioning their authority directly.
