Respect for others’ opinions, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), remembering Islamic teachings and principles

In this hadith, we learn about a disagreement between two companions of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Uthman and Ali. Uthman was against performing Tamattu', while Ali was in favor of it. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) practiced this ritual, so when reminded by Ali, Uthman conceded that they used to perform it with him. This hadith teaches us that even though we may disagree on certain matters, we should always remember what our beloved Prophet taught us and follow his example in all matters. We should also respect each other's opinions even if we don't agree on them as long as they are not contrary to Islamic teachings or principles.
