Sahih al-Bukhari 1042 (Book 16, Hadith 3) #1006
Signs of Allah - Prayer During Eclipses

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught that the sun and moon eclipses are signs of Allah, and when they occur, one should offer prayer.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (ie birth) of someone but they are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. When you see them offer the prayer".

QUICK LESSONS:
Offer prayers when witnessing a solar or lunar eclipse.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that the sun and moon eclipses are signs from Allah. When we witness these events we should take it as a reminder to offer prayer to Him. It is important to remember that these events do not happen because of someone's death or birth but rather they are part of God's plan for us. We should be mindful of this and use it as an opportunity to connect with our Creator through prayer.
