A health bill of rights for men We "do" have rights as health consumers when we deal with the health system. 1. respect 2. be fully informed 3. make decisions for herself 4. control her own body 5. non-judgemental responses or treatment 6. accurate and up to date information 7. full explanation of any examination, procedures, condition or treatment 8. full and unbiased details of the alternatives and referral options 9. appropriate answers to all questions 10. time to aske questions 11. time to consider the information supplied 12. know of any risks or side effects of any treatment 13. details about costs of treatment 14. a second opinion 15. stop any examination or treatment the moment you request it 16. advice upon request 17. discuss the information fully. -------------  ~ Our feet are earthbound, but our hearts and our minds have wings ~
