 As-Salaam alaikum,
 In verse/ayat 11 of chapter 42 of the Holy Qur'an, Allah Ta'ala says:-

       "There is nothing [whatsoever] like
         unto Him"  (Shura 42:11)

 In other words, Allah's Majesty is too great either to exist in the shape of a human being or to lose anything by the existence of particular essences. And this explains why there are no pictures of creatures, humans or anything, in a Masjid/Mosque.

 He (Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) is everywhere; nothing exists besides His Face:

        "To Allah belongs the East and the West:
         Wherever you turn, there is the Presence
         of Allah; for Allah is All-Pervading, All-Knowing"
                                                           (Baqra 2:115)

 And so, Muslims understand Allah to be available and responsive. The twofold nature of Allah's manifestation (All-Pervading, All-Knowing) indicate to us Allah's being the Absolute Truth and being manifested everywhere in everything.
