Stupid question, who is Nasrudin and why are their so many anecdotes with him in them?

You can "google" it you will get many info about him. Here one of them:
Nasrudin is the archetypal wise fool, who lived in the Middle East over 600 years ago, though his stories have travelled the world and been updated in every generation.

Thanks Semar....I guess he's like Ivan the Idiot in Russian fairy tales. Ivan the Idiot always succeeds where everyone else failed because of his simple approach.
