Assalamualaikum,

I had a question about the qada prayer. According to the Hanafi Madhab, do I have to say the athan before I pray the qada prayer?

Wa alaikum Salam,

Calling Azan before prayer is a good practice. It only helps us be prepared fully to submit to God. But if someone does not offer it before the Qada prayer, his prayers will be valid.

Azan is a call to prayer that Muslims call before the actual prayer. Qada prayers refer to prayers that are not performed on time. Muslims offer five prayers daily within a specific time window. If they are unable to perform the prayer, it is called qada prayer.
