Hello People,

My name is David, my username is Young Archie, because David was already taken.

Archie is my father's name, I was often called 'Young Archie' by his friends as a kid.

I have no religion, but I'm very interested in religions, cultures etc.
I'm friendly, peaceful and not prone to biting. Reasonably educated, sceptical but accepting of difference in people.

My reason for joining this forum is to learn about Islam. I live in a rural community and although I travel around a great deal, I know very few Muslims.

I've never read the Quran and don't know much about it.

As time permits, I'll have a look around, then hopefully have some questions. Some of them may seem a bit daft, but I am a newbie.

Hi Archie. You should read the Qu'ran. Essential world literature, and quite accessible.

I also highly recommend Martin Ling's biography of Muhammad.
