Can any brother tell me detailed meaning and understanding about the "Tanoor"/Oven in this verse and why it meant to be overfolowed??? What kind of oven it was and why it overfolowed? what relation this is with flood of Noah (A.S)
I will be thankful یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارا حکم آپہنچا اور تنور جوش مارنے لگا تو ہم نے نوح کو حکم دیا کہ ہر قسم (کے جانداروں) میں سے جوڑا جوڑا (یعنی) دو (دو جانور۔ ایک ایک نر اور ایک ایک مادہ) لے لو اور جس شخص کی نسبت حکم ہوچکا ہے (کہ ہلاک ہوجائے گا) اس کو چھوڑ کر اپنے گھر والوں کو جو ایمان لایا ہو اس کو کشتی میں سوار کر لو اور ان کے ساتھ ایمان بہت ہی کم لوگ لائے تھے [So it was], until when Our command came and the oven overflowed, We said, "Load upon the ship of each [creature] two mates and your family, except those about whom the word has preceded, and [include] whoever has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few. Hud (40-41) |

| I have studied multiple translations and explanations of Quran. But I am not convinced. What I need is modern understanding, not old traditions. Even the story of Tanoor of old woman is not catching.. |

(11:40) Thus it was until Our command came to pass and the oven boiled over.
We said: 'Take into the Ark a pair of every species; and take your own family
except those who have already been declared (as unworthy); and
also take everyone who believes. But those who, along with him,
had believed were indeed just a few. (11:41) Noah said: ' Embark in it. In the name of Allah is its sailing and
its anchorage. My Lord is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.
