How are you? I would like to know how oneself can be regretful to his own parents after years of wrongdoings? Parents are always helpful and warm coming but wrongdoings need to be corrected.

Assalamalecum,b good to parents, I.e by listening to them, taking care of them, speaking softly to them.and firstly ask for forgiveness from Allah and then parents,bcoz Allah in ch 4 v 48 of Quran says that Allah if wants can forgive any sin except shirk.Allah in ch 17 v 23-24 says b good to parents, , don't backfire at them, u should not utter even ooff and pray to Allah to shower mercy on them in the way in which ur parents behaved with u mercifully.love ur parents to plz Allah bcoz Allah says if u strive in his way he will open pathways for u (ch 29 v 69).
