Assalamu'alaikum Wr. Wb.

Nicolaus Copernicus published his work entitled "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres" in 1453. Acccording to his observations, he stated that the solar system is heliocentric and not geocentric.
Did you know nearly 850 years earlier, through Muhammad SAW, Allah SWT stated that He set heliocentric for the solar system with QS 36:39.

Wassalaam.

Heliocentricity was not stated in the Quran. It was first suggested by the Greek scientist Aristarchus of Samos around 230 BCE. Islamic scholars rediscovered Greek science books and advanced science further. The Quran might have inspired them to further knowledge, but the Quran didn't contribute to science as such.

Assalaamualaikum Wr Wb,

Quran Surah-36 (Ya Seen), Verse-39:
And for the moon We have set its orbits, so that (after it get to the last orbit) it return as an old bunches (Crescent).

In hijriyah calendar, time period of crescent to crescent moon shape is used as standard period of 1 month. And then if our solar system was geocentric, crescent to crescent will happen in just 24 hours or every day.

Wassalaam.
