Well it has not left the sun reaching power yet, one sun out of more 200 billions in this galaxy, one galaxy out of hundreds of billions galaxiesSmile. Quite impressive machine this one, it was predicted by some it would go down long before, yet it still communicative.

Voyager 1 is in uncharted celestial territory. One thing is clear: The boundary that separates the solar system and interstellar space is near, but it could take days, months or years to cross that milestone.

Voyager 1 is currently more than 11 billion miles from the sun. Twin Voyager 2, which celebrated its launch anniversary two weeks ago, trails behind at 9 billion miles from the sun.

Eleven billion miles is impossible to imagine, but here is one way to get some sense of it.  A radio transmission can go around the world (25,000 miles) in about 1/7 of a second; but a radio transmission from Voyager I takes almost 17 hours to reach us!

Now that's far out! Cool
