Since the era of late Ahmed Deedat, may Allah grant him paradise, only little has been seen in the field of comparative religion. Although Deedat was scholar in terms of knowledge and pioneer in opening channels of debate with the people of the book, Christians and Jews, many found his approach only suitable for the environment of South Africa during the racist era. Communications at the time was more confrontations and criticism rather than diplomatic exchange of knowledge.

Many have learned much from Deedat about the Bible and how to get into fruitful debate with Christians, but many also found too many Christians in the west offended by his language, which unfortunately does not help in Dawaa. His book about Mohammed in The Bible was rich in information but needed new writings to address new generations of the global village we live in.

I have recently read this book about Mohammed in the Bible, which in my opinion is the best so far in this field. The title itself takes the field of comparative religion from being boring religious subject to a more novel or even loving approach [The Princess of Egypt and That Mysterious Prophet]. It appeals to any one, not necessary religious or truth seekers.

The Princess in reference is Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, who is described according to the Bible as a bond woman. The Author provided authentic prove from the Torah that she was a princess in Egypt who renounced the throne of her ancestors to serve and later marry one of the great prophets of God, Abraham. The book followed in factual details how the family of Abraham, with Ishmael the forefather of Mohammed, and Isaac the forefather of the Jews were formed. From there he traced the roots or milestones of Mohammed in the bible.

I have read the book recently and passed it to a few agonistics and Christians who were all very impressed with the style, the tender approach in dealing with different opinions and the amount of new knowledge the reader would get from it.

I do really recommend that every new revert or even those who are engaged in Dawaa in the west to obtain this book, as it teaches the life of the prophet Mohammed from within the bible in storey style that stick to the mind and heart unlike the dull nature of most religious books that tends to state the facts, or assumptions in abrupt off putting manner.
