abt forbidden names
well any name that is (Abd+any other word that's not ALLAH's name)
for example in egypt they sometimes call Abd el nabi or abd el rasool and  nabi -rasool means prophet and messenger and they mean Prophet Muhammed (Salla ALLAH 'allaihy wa salam)
it's wrong coz we are servants of ALLAH, only Him
on the other hand Abd el Rahman , AbduLLAH, Abd el Ra7eem... are really wonderful names

but never heard of such in the quran though! so u would have it  ready in hand would u the verse in the quran?!!!

I found the hadith el hamdulillah

vol4, Book55.Prophets HAdith 623 (shahi Bukhari)
Narrated by Abu Musa: ALLAH's Apostle said,"Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asia, Pharoah's wife, and Mary, the daughter of 'Imran. And no doubt the superiority of 'Aisha to other women is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. a meat and bread dish) to other meals."
