Assalam Aleikum

The book is almost an exact copy of the translation of Kitaab at-tawhiid by Muhammad ibn abd'wahab (the founder of the 18th century movement known as "wahabism", the same movement that helped the Saudi family to power). The booklet gives a more recent interpretation to Islam, which is contrary to an established view from hundreds of ulema dating back to the first three generations. Keep in mind that the movement has a basic thesis that the Prophet (saw) and his companions, and then Ibn Taaymiyyah, and then the founder, and his folowers, have the true, real knoweldge of Islam, and everyone else is living in great sin.

I once told a raving follower of this ideology at the local mosque about my journey to visit Imam Al-Bukhari at his grave in Samarqand, Uzbekistan, and recited Quran to him, and asked him to make dua for me. Then I went to the mosque near his grave and prayed to Allah and asked Him to accept his dua. The outcome was memorable, both when I was at the garve of this great man, and after I told this to the raving follower.

There is nothing wrong with visiting graves, nor to make intention to do so, including the grave of our Prophet Muhammad (saw). It is not an act that one is requird to do, as it was never a matter of aqeeda. I am sorry that the brothers at almaghrib have followed the teachings of a man who decided to make such acts a matter of aqida. This is where this ideology has created a great deal of fitnah in this Ummah. 

Brother, I am not trying to cause problems, and I respect your views, and they are welcome. But understand that the booklet you have put here asserts various acts as "shirk", an extremely serious charge, upon the practices of millions of Muslims who are following the fatwas and arguments of some of the greatest minds that have ever lived, over the past 1200 years.

I am not intending this to be a contest, but I must put up something that represents the view I hold, as is the view of the four schools of fiqh.
