Can I use music instrument for fun???

   Assalamalecum sir, although I am a medical student but I am good in playing piano, however I had never explore this talent at large level,but since 6 months I had given up listening to music but at times I feel desperate to play piano, Alhamdulillah I had a talent to play a tune on it by listening just once,so is it lawful to play piano just for fun???

	Wa alaikum salam, IMHO in my understanding yes it's OK you play music, sing a song etc, as long as the lyric is "good". Again to me is not the instrument that matter, but the lyric and "spirit" of the song. Allah swt know best.
