SooSoo88, I think you can pray as soon as your period is over and you take a shower. This 10 days thing keeps coming up and seems so silly. That would mean you pray less than half of the month. You are either on your period or your not, unless you have a medical problem. Our religon is supposed to be simple and easy, yet people want to make it harder than it is. Peace

You cant be a good muslim if you are not decent and have a cold heart. Be a decent and kind person and care for women and children and the elderly.

"Concerning menstruation and childbirth bleeding, Allah says in the Qur'an, "Do not approach them until they become pure. When they are pure, go to them in the manner that Allah has prescribed for you." The Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said to Fatimah bint Abu Habish, "Do not pray during your period. After it has ended, perform ghusl and pray." (Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.) Post-childbirth bleeding is treated in a similar manner, according to the consensus of the companions. If a woman gives birth and has no flow of blood afterwards, some scholars say that she must perform ghusl, while others say that it would not be necessary. There is no textual authority on this latter point. " Salaam Edited by Abeer23 |

bismillah irrahman irrahim assalamu alaikum this whole ten days thing is for ladies who some times have vaginal bleeding. I will inshaAllah try to explain the whole ruling. A lady can leave prayer due to menstral bleeding r afterbirth bleeding. now for a menstral bleeding, it needs to be minimum of three days to qualify for a menstral bleeding, if it is any less than 72 hrs r 15 prayers that is not taken as menses n u need to make up for the prayers u missed thinkin it was ur periods. now anything between 3 to 10 days is menstral bleeding so if it stops in between this time, u take a bath n pray straight away n thats it. now if it carries on for more than 10 days then u take a bath even though u bleedin n pray n for each prayer u have to do a new wudu, hope this helps wassalam |
