Assalamualaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barkatahu..

Iam new here and my confused mind cant decide anything and needs some help.My problem is one of my muslim friend is organising a "christmas potluck party" with all non-muslim friends at her home.she has lit up xmas tree and plan to put up some games and exchange gifts and stuff.she is my close friend but i am hesitant to join this .but at the same time i cant tell anything to her.my strong instincts says jst reject the event by any excuse .but she is very reluctant and would definately mind if i dont join in.iam the only muslim guest in the list.i dont know what to do here.please help.

Wa alaikum salam,

Becasue the organizer is a muslim, to me it is easier to decide. Not to go. This is to give a statement that you don't agree what she will do. It's not correct islamically.
Yes we have to be tolerance and respect to other faith, however what she want to do is too far.

Again to me don't go.
