 Hello everyone!!!!!

I am new to this site and am excited about learning all that I can from all of you. I sould say that I have met a very special man from Morocco that got me interested in Islam. He was happy when I told him that I wanted to learn more so that I could beter understand him and his life. But now I am wanting to learn not just for him, but for myself and my children. I grew up going to the Seventh-Day Adventist church, but have not attended in many years. I have never lost my faith in God, only in my church. I am hoping I can find some answers to my questions here. I look forward to talking with all of you. I hope everyone has a good day. Salaam Alaykum(I hope I spell that right)

Bismillah, (In the name of Allah, (God))

Dear Patricia,

Why don't you study about the basics of Islam from this website's main page, or read in the discussion forums postings about the Qur'aan and the pillars of Islaam?  There are a lot of great books, including the Qur'aan itself, to read about it.

I loved reading the one that compared the Qur'an, the Bible, and Science.

Al-Hamdulillah (From a Married Muslimah) La Howla Wa La Quwata Illa BiLLah - There is no Effort or Power except with Allah's Will.

Assalamu Alaikum Patricia:

I have been a Muslim for 9 years, Al HamdilAllah (that means Thank Allah). My parents were never very religious, but I tried numerous churches and denominations before finding Islam.

My husband is from Youssafia, Morocco. He is a very quiet and easy man, Masha'Allah, and I believe many Moroccans share this trait. We have been married for 4 years, Al HamdilAllah.

If you ever have any questions about Islam or Morocco, please feel free to e-mail me at: [email protected]  I may not be able to answer them, but I will try to find the answers or resources that might help you.

Salaams.

It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, what is essential is invisible to the eye. (The Little Prince)
