"Providing energy efficient solutions can help to resolve some of the Middle Easts most urgent challenges"
- states the German concern Siemens. What do you think?

Anyway, I found it quite interesting reading through the website about their activities in the Middle East in the field of energy efficiency in energy generation, about renewable energy but also about oil and gas.

So, not for promotion - just for information: http://www.siemens.ae/energy-efficiency/

I agree, but without political stability, Western companies won't invest. Islamists are on the rise in the Middle East and North Africa. They are a serious threat in all Sahara desert regions where green energy could be produced.

A religion that's intolerant of other religions can't be the world's best religion --Abdel Samad
Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people--Eleanor Roosevelt

The Arab world should brace it's self for a massive drop in oil prices.

This will be due to the better extraction techniques; fracking etc, and new power technologies. The day solar power gets to be cheaper than oil and coal we stop digging and drilling.
