Salams,Dred.Every individual has to be accountable for their own actions, but when the actions reflect on a whole and it is unjust it should be condemed. No one here condones this behavior. [/QUOTE]

Good morning Mr. Abdullah! Because of ego, everyone feels that their adherence is the best.  So people try to point out the flaws in others.  So as you said an action of an individual should not be attributed to the community.  And here the problem is not ego but the law itself. So the blasphemy laws have to be done with because they do not promote equality.

Press Release

August 3rd, 2009, Maryland, The Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC) joins all our fellow Pakistani Americans in condemning the recent incidents in Pakistan, when a small but organized group of thugs(also include the present government of Pakistan including the President Zaradari AKA  Mr. 10% in kickbacks) attacked a village in Gojra, Pakistan and took innocent lives of Christian minority community members and then destroyed their homes. These extremists claimed to commit these inhumane acts and atrocities as a response to an alleged blasphemy of the Holy Qur`an.

PAKPAC asks the Government of Pakistan to arrest the perpetrators of these crimes and extend severe punishment to them for the murder of the innocent people. Punishment to such people should be strong enough to serve as a strong deterrent to anyone in Pakistan who dares to contemplate such actions.
Do you expect good outcome from a government of thieves sent from the US of Amnesia formed on the sympathy of Benizir Bhutto and others' killings and after two years have been just screwing around cuz they themselves were the conspirators...
PAKPAC extends condolences to all the faith communities in Pakistan, and ensures them that we support them towards eradicating these hate-based, misguided beasts who go against the very basic teachings of the Qur`an and Islam that they pretend to protect.
I extend my condolence too!
I think the problem stems from the US neo colonial occupation of that country ... Why is US building huge Embassy in that third world country like another possession Iraq?
It is lack of rule of the law that has been the issue from day one in that country by design ...

We ask the larger society in Pakistan to get seriously involved in a meaningful and focused dialogue to look at how various laws are being abused
Fat chance...
in stripping the minorities in Pakistan of their rights. We need to enlighten ourselves and the world on how these crimes are against the principles and spirit of the creation of Pakistan and the core essence and teachings of the Quran
Let's be realist and I have a question for these PAKVACies why did they leave the country in the first place?

Really very good post.  Equality is the utmost right of an individual.
provided the government of the country follows the rule of law under the constitution that is has been shredded by the rulers at will numerous times...So who is going to help them to get that right when they have been misled by the champions of that right time and time again?
Making politically correct boiler plate annunciations are for the birds...

Your post has been beautifully written. But I wouldn't blame the Americans for what is happening in Pakistan.  The bias has been existing even before the Americans arrived. PACVACs are in a secure place. So forget about the Pakistanis who left Pakistan, people have to help themselves. There would be someone who is truthful. Pray for the good and good will happen.
