Assalamu alaikum.
Allah says in Qur'an chapter 7:175, "And recite to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ayat, but he threw them away; so Shaitan (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray. And had We willed, We would surely have elavated him therewith, but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his parable is the parable of a dog: if you drive him away , he lolls his tongue out or if you leave him alone he still (lolls)his tongue out".
In chapter 62:5 Allah says, "The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurat (i.e. to obey its commandments and practice its laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey which carries hug burdens of books ( but understands nothing from them. How bad is the example of pople who deny the Ayat of Allah".
The Saudis according to Dr. Shaukat of moonsighting announced that they saw the moon of Shawwal on Monday. According to Hisab (scientific calculation of moon phase) the moon cannot be sighted in Saudi Arabia on that day for it set before the sunst set.

Official Decision and Announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia: Since the moon of Shawwaal was sighted this evening, here in Saudi Arabia, we shall be completing twenty nine (29) days of Ramadhaan. Subsequently, we shall be celebrating 'Eed al-Fitr on Tuesday 30th September 2008, inshaa.-Allaah
Comment by Moonsighting.com: It was impossible to see the moon in Saudi Arabia. The moon set before sunset. It was not even above their horizon. So how can anyone see a moon that is not there.

The Sunna is clear in that fast on seeing the moon and stop on seeing the moon. If you do not sight it complete 30 days. Why did they go against this clear injunctions of Allah? Those callling for the coming of Mahdi, if he came what could he have done to them?
Anyway whetherh Mahdi willd come or not the truth is awaiting us as explained in Qur'an chpter 0:94 "Allah and His Messenger will observe your deeds. In the end you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, then He (Allah) will inform you of what you used to do)". The Sarah Palin joke: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUCKEY MOM AND A PIG?

Friendship,
a Muslim is also known for his use of decent words and speech. He chooses respectful words and language when engaged in a talk with fellow Muslims or anyone.

Assalamu alaikum.

Is there any polite word than what is in the Qur'an? Who are those addressed in the holy Qur'an? Is parable and similitude not part of the Qur'an? Allah says, (say)"The truth is from your Lord" Then whosoever wills, let him believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve".

Assalamu alaikum.
Are you saying that it was only those who were given the Taurat (Old Testament) and required to obey its commandmnts and to practise its laws but refused that are likened to a donkey and those who read the Qur'an and refused to obey its commandments and to practise its laws are not donkeys?. This forum is educating people to realise their shortcomings and repent before it is too late. The holy Prophet said, "The statement of a believer should only be there is only One Allah and Muhammad is his Apostle. I should be educated.
Friendship.
