Way to The Quran

By

 Khurram Murad

'Be thankful to Me, and to your parents' (Luqman 31:14)
to
MY MOTHER

At her knees I learnt to read the Qur'an, upon her insistance that I must learn Arabic I was sent to the school maulavi saheb who gave me the rudimentary knowledge upon which I could build later; seeing her devotion to the Qur'an, reading it with understanding, for hours and hours, kindled a spark in my heart which has continued to illumine my way; and, finally, through her example and silent but solid support I found my way to a life of struggle in the way of Allah.

'My Lord! Bestow Thy mercy upon my parents, as they raised me up when I was little'  (al-Isra' 17: 24)

Assalamu alaikum,

Yes, thank you indeed, brother Suleyman!  "Way to the Qur'an" will be most helpful.  I have just browsed through the al-islamforall site and see there is good reading there.  I will point these things out to my Muslim sisters on Friday when we meet as I know they will be interested in this learning as well.

Thank you for pointing this out to me.  This is what I need - places that I can go back to over and over (because new things don't stick in my brain well anymore!).  May Allah shower you with blessings.

Peace, ummziba.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but your words...they break my soul ~

Aleykum Selam ve Rahmetullahi ve Berakatuh Sister Ummziba,

It is nice to see that the site you had taken makes sense to you, coming to your memorization problem;please don't mind!,i also have an problem as like that last week while i was at the bank i needed to call my mom,but unfortunately did not remember the telephone number of the house that i did not succeed,it was an big shame...i remember an old businessman from my country who was in the list of the world's 100 richest persons,he was saying that please don't make your brains old with memorizing the useless things;writing to them on the papers makes your brains more new...of course this is not valid for the holy Qur'an...Wa Salaam

Brothers and Sisters in Islam.

Assalam alaikum wa Rahmatullahi  wa  Barakatuhu.

Just thought that I should share with you some of the miracles of  Quran al Majeed.

Have you noticed the following:

1.     All ayahs of Suratul Qamar end with the letter (alphabet) Raa.

2.     All ayahs of Suratul Rahman end with the letter (alphabet) Noon.

3.     All ayahs of Suratul Maryam end with the letter (alphabet) Aleef.

4.     All ayahs of Suratul Najm end with the letter (alphabet) Yaa.

5.     All ayahs of Suratul Muhammad end with the letter (alphabet) Meem.

Also, normally, we do not give much thought, but Allah Subhana wa Taala, in HIS Infinite Wisdom, has honored the letter QAAF to all other letters. An entire sura (Suratul Qaaf) is dedicated to this letter. There are lots of ayahs in Quran al Majeed where there is a preponderance of the occurance of the letter Qaaf.  To give you just one example, refer to Suratul Maidah, Ayah # 27. There are 10 occurances of the letter QAAF. This ayah can roughly be translated as follows:

Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah.: It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "(Allah) doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.

Since I cannot reproduce the original Arabic form here, you can always look look it up.

I would also appreciate any comments from you all about this observation,  and maybe, you can also  add any thing  that  you can  come  accross.

Ma' as Salaama.
