Assalam-alaikum Br Yusuf

Thankyou for bringing this information to the attention of the readers here. May Allah guide every Muslim to the right path. The information you have provided is very disturbing. You have mentioned that the founder of this group has written a book. Would you know the name of this book or the name of this founder? I think it is important to ascertain this information by getting to the truth one way of which would be to get hold of either the book or the person who has founded this group. Could you please provide this information if you can.

Clearly this sect is heritical and blasphemous...

if what Yusuf(assuming his endorsement of the artical) says of them is true, such as their desire to change the Qur'an and Homosexualities.. both Big No - Nos... then they are astray.. so too are the Bahaist and the Ahamadism people..

But, as for the other "Sects" he mentioned.. Wahabi for example.. at what point does a certian method of practicing Islam become "Non-mainstream?"

How many diffrences in thinking and belief do you have to have inorder not to be called Mainstream?... or Sunni...

I only ask.. because according to this article, I can potentially say anyone who doesnt agree with me not Sunni...

Do you see where I am going with this? If Not.. THen your not SUnni! hahahahaha.. ...

but yeah I'm seriouse.. what defines a Sect?

THere Is no god, BUT GOD
and Adam was his First Messenger

Assalamu alaikum,

that's a good point really akhi. I'm not nearly smart enough to try to answer it.

Salam

Here should be the logic:

A sect which derives its principles from the orthodox teachings of its predecessor is not a sect of that, by principle that if the teachings present new ideas (or ideologies) which does not support the original teachings is not valid to be called a sect or derivation in the first place.
