Why is Jesus Christ honored in the Quran more than any other prophet of Islam?

As a Born-Again Christ-follower, I think that the god of Islam should honor prophet Mohammed more than Isa Al Massih.

You are wrong:

Of all the Prophets cited in the Quran, The Prophet Moses is talked about the most, even more than Prophet Muhammad, within the Quran, his life, journies, and relationships with the children of Israel is spoken about more than other Prophets.

176 Verses in the Quran mention the name of Prophet Moses:

I am asking why prophet Isa Al massih is the most highly HONORED prophet of the Quran?  This is not about how many times a prophet is "talked about" in the Quran.

Each prophet has their own status and honor.

Prophet Mohammad was the last Prophet and was given the glorious Qur'an.

Prophet 'Eesa (Jesus) had a miraculous birth and will return in the end times to fight the kings of the earth.

Prophet Moosa (Moses) was protected by Allah from the pagan Egyptians and saved the sons of Israel from the Pharaoh and had many great miracles.

Prophet Dawood (David) was a King and was given the holy book of Zaboor.

Prophet Sulayman (solomon) was given power and authrity over the Jinn and Shayateen whom he used to build magnificant structures.

Prophet Ibraheem (Abraham) was the builder of the Ka'bah and the father of Arabs and Israelites.

and so on...

They were all great men.

Yes, he is wrong and you are absolutely correct. Moses is the most talked about in Qur'aan. Qur'aan also addresses the Children of Israel and talks a lot about them. Muhammad's name can be found only four times in the entire Qur'aan.

The Lord Almighty honoured all the prophets in Qur'aan.

However, if you are saying that Jesus is the most honoured in Qur'aan, then you better read this:

Qur'aan tells us that Yahya (John the Baptist), was the first prophet whom the Lord Almighty, for the first time, had called by that name and his parents name him.

Another prophet, who was raised to the loftiest stature in the sight of the Lord Almighty, was Enoch (Idrees).

Compare that with Jesus. He was supposed to be named Immanuel by his mother but unfortunately, instead of being named Immanuel, he was named Jesus by people but is not remembered by his real name. He is remembered with a Greek name.

Surah 18
1.
Praise be to Allah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:

2. (He hath made it) Straight (and Clear) in order that He may warn of a terrible Punishment from Him, and that He may give Glad Tidings to the Believers who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a goodly Reward,

3. Wherein they shall remain for ever:

4. Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "(Allah) hath begotten a son":

5. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!

6. Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message.

Who or what prompts you to enlist in the hordes of Gog and Magog?

In this context the Qur'an warns:

"Upon this day when their faces are turned about in the fire, they shall say: 'Ah, would we had obeyed God and the messenger!' They shall say: 'Our Lord, we obeyed the chiefs and great ones, and they led us astray from the way. Our Lord, give them chastisement twofold, and curse them with a mighty curse" [ Qur'an, "The Confederates", chapter 33:66].

The next verse admonishes:

"O believers, be not as those who hurt Moses, but God declared him quit of what they said, and he was high honored with God" [Qur'an, "The Confederates", chapter 33:68].
