COMMON PHRASES:
Building a bit from above...

Fahmni                oo     ï¿½ma-tah-tay-neesh
"Understand me    or     Gi ve me nothing"

but the phrase is used to mean "Understand me or shut up"

Not that anyone would find a reason for this phrase around here...

Now literally we have "Understand me    or     Gi ve me nothing"

but the phrase is used to mean "Understand me or shut up"

Not that anyone would find a reason for this phrase around here...

Salaams and Bismillah,

oo   &nbs p;          WHAT? Please clarify.

Al-Hamdulillah (From a Married Muslimah) La Howla Wa La Quwata Illa BiLLah - There is no Effort or Power except with Allah's Will.

Can we get a Thread or maybe this one that has Common Islamic Phrases?

Its very confusing for a new Muslim or a person trying to learn about Islam, when Muslims use such terms and doesnt explain what they mean.

And using scripts such as   doesnt help any.

Examples:

Assalamu Alaikum -Peace Unto You

Wassalamu- And peace unto you.

Insha Allah-GOD Willing

etc etc etc.

If Ive over looked such a thread ,then forgive me..

Thanks!

Jerry
